We are NM OiOs
In July of 2019 a new NAHL team coming to Albuquerque put out a request for volunteer hockey enthusiasts who would be interested in serving as off-ice officials for New Mexico's newest ice hockey prorgam.
Expansion and Association
In 2022, with the Ice Wolves organization adding a NA3HL team and the announcement of an ECHL affiliate charting a course to expand into our area, the leadership of the OiO group agreed it was a good idea to formalize the organization. This was the beginning of what is now the New Mexico Off-Ice Officials Association.
The purpose of NM OiO is to provide off-ice officiating for amatuer and professional ice hockey games in the state. The association includes hockey veterans as well as hockey enthusiasts who simply love the game and want to be involved in furthering hockey in their areas.
